Here is my idea for a mechanical "supah-like" valve. Basically it would be a piston valve that uses a very strong spring instead of air. The green part is not a valve, instead it is a latch with a plate that holds the latch down. The top plate spins sideways and the lower latch will fall out of the way with the spring's tension, causing the piston to fly backwards.
